Set in 1950s Bronzeville, Louise Parker is facing eviction from her home. Desperate to keep her independence and status, she is introduced to a lucrative performing opportunity. While attempting to keep this new venture a secret, she simultaneously gains popularity, risking being exposed to and disowned by her mother. After being offered a promotion, she is left with two choices, become the headliner, or allow her family to lose everything.

PASSWORD: mrmarks It is 1905 on the lower east side of Manhattan. Mr. Marks, an Hasidic Orthodox Jewish immigrant from Romania owns a fabric shop frequented by Esther Mills, a seamstress from rural North Carolina. Through their mutual passion for fabric, a relationship develops, testing Mr. Marks' religious beliefs and Esther's belief in true love. Six months go by and Esther, now engaged, settles for another man. She makes one last trip to Mr. Marks' shop to buy some wedding fabric, in hopes that he will finally surrender to his clandestine feelings for her, and fulfill her need for real love. In the early 1900's, a recently widowed prospector struggles alone in the Alaskan wilderness while desperately searching for gold. Isolation has not been kind to him; his deceased wife haunts his dreams at night, and his excruciating labor yields nothing but worthless dregs during the day. He hears mysterious noises in the surrounding forest. Is someone or something out there? Or is his despair and loneliness overtaking him?
